This is a hands-on hiring event built around what you can do\, not just what’s on your résumé. \n\n\n\nSATURDAY\, AUGUST 22\, 2026First session: 6:45 a.m. | Last session: 11:30 a.m.12180 Tascosa Rd.\, Amarillo\, TX 79124 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW UP. SHOW YOUR SKILLS. GET HIRED.\n\n\n\nYou’ll get the chance to step in\, work with your hands and show contractors your skills\, work ethic and ability to learn. \n\n\n\nNo experience required. \n\n\n\nNever worked in construction? Instructors will be on site to demonstrate the activities and help you through them. You don’t need years of experience to show that you can listen\, learn and get the job done. \n\n\n\nAlready know your way around a jobsite? Even better. Show what you can do. Experienced candidates can demonstrate their skills directly to contractors and may qualify for a higher starting wage. \n\n\n\nSTARTING AT $18/HR\n\n\n\nStarting pay is $18/hour\, with experienced workers earning up to $31/hour. \n\n\n\nAnd this isn’t a typical job fair where you hand over a résumé and hope someone calls. \n\n\n\nYou’ll participate in hands-on activities\, meet contractors who are looking for workers and have the opportunity to interview on site and potentially get hired at the event. \n\n\n\nGET PAID TO LEARN A SKILLED TRADE\n\n\n\nIf you’re hired\, you’ll enter an apprenticeship that combines classroom instruction with paid\, on-the-job training. \n\n\n\n\nTraining at no cost to the apprentice\n\n\n\nEarn while you learn\n\n\n\nHealth and welfare benefits\n\n\n\nPension benefits\n\n\n\nBuild skills that can increase your earning potential\n\n\n\nTrain for a career in the construction trades\n\n\n\n\nInterior Systems work includes metal stud framing and drywall installation\, while Concrete Form work involves building the forms used to shape and support concrete. \n\n\n\nYou don’t have to know how to do it before you walk through the door. You just have to be ready to work and willing to learn. \n\n\n\nREADY TO SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO?\n\n\n\nEach session lasts about one hour\, plus check-in and potential employer interviews. \n\n\n\nParticipants must be at least 18 years old and should wear a long-sleeved shirt\, pants and work boots. \n\n\n\nRegister now to reserve your preferred session:https://www.sdttf.org/combine \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSHOW UP.
