Helping Students with Disabilities Explore Careers, Training, and Employment

The Student HireAbility Navigator connects students with disabilities to career exploration, work-based learning, training opportunities, and employment resources across the Texas Panhandle.

What is the Student HireAbility Navigator?

The Student HireAbility Navigator is designed to help students with disabilities:

Transition successfully from school to work

  • Explore careers and local labor market opportunities
  • Develop workplace and employability skills
  • Participate in work-based learning experiences
  • Connect with vocational rehabilitation and workforce services
  • Prepare for college, training, apprenticeships, or employment

Who Can Use This Program?

Students with disabilities (generally ages 14–24)
Parents and guardians
School districts and educators
Employers interested in hiring students and young adults with disabilities
