Additional Resources for Parents Receiving Child Care Assistance

We have a variety of resources, including family resources and parenting resources.

Early Childhood Texas

Early Childhood Texas aims to provide families with young children easy access to Texas state agency programs, services, and resources.

State agency partners include Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Education Agency, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and Texas Department of State Health Services.

A team of staff from each agency has guided the development of this website with direct input from Texas parents and families. The website is managed by the inter-agency team and funded by the Texas Workforce Commission.

Resources for New Parents

Safe to Sleep Infant Practices

The Safe to Sleep campaign, formerly known as the Back to Sleep campaign, focuses on actions you and others can take to help your baby sleep safely and to reduce your baby’s risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep-related causes of infant death.

Texas Home Visiting

Texas Home Visiting helps good people be great parents.

We help parents by matching them with someone who can answer questions, give advice, and recommend services. This helpful person lives in your community and visits you in your home or another convenient location. We call this person a “home visitor.”

211 Texas

2-1-1 Texas is a free, anonymous social service hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

No matter where you live in Texas, you can dial 2-1-1, or (877) 541-7905, and find information about resources in your local community. Whether you need help finding food or housing, child care, crisis counseling or substance abuse treatment, one number is all you need to know.
