Provider Requirements & Policies

Parent Share of Cost (PSoC)

The parent share of cost (PSoC) is calculated on a weekly basis and is determined by the family’s gross monthly income and family size

CCS providers must collect the PSoC from every CCS family. Each provider can establish their own policy for how and when to collect payment from each CCS family.

CCS providers must report when a parent fails to pay the PSoC by emailing ccapps@wspanhandle.com no later than 5 business days after the due date of the the missed payment.

Attendance Expectations

All CCS providers have attendance rules. CCS providers must report the following issues by calling our office at 806-372-2836:

  • A CCS child is not attending care regularly
  • Families are not signing their CCS children in and out every day
  • Other issues arise regarding attendance

Notice of Provider Changes

CCS providers must report any of the following changes 3 business days in advance by emailing childcareproviderservices@wspanhandle.com:

  • Change in ownership
  • Change in location
  • Change in Child Care Regulation (CCR) facility/permit type
  • CCR revocation of permit to operate

Provider Payments

Payments are issued on or before the first Monday of the two-week payment period. Depending upon your bank’s processing time, it may take up to two business days for the fund to be available.
