U.S. Border Patrol will be at Workforce Solutions Panhandle for a three-day recruitment event September 22 – 24. If you are interested in federal law enforcement or want to learn more about becoming a Border Patrol Agent, this is an opportunity to speak directly with recruiters about the career and hiring process.

Recruiters will be available throughout the event to answer questions about career opportunities, what the job involves, and what applicants can expect during the selection process.

A Career in Service and Protection

Border Patrol Agents serve in the protection of the nation’s land and sea borders. The Amarillo Recruitment Event gives prospective applicants the opportunity to learn more about that mission while getting firsthand information about becoming an agent.

Applicants must be referred for selection before their 40th birthday, with exceptions available for those with prior federal law enforcement experience or those eligible for veterans’ preference. Applicants are required to undergo a background investigation, polygraph exam, medical exam, and drug test. U.S. citizenship is required.
