Interior Systems & Concrete Form Combine
August 22nd @ 6:45 am – 11:30 am CDT

Think you have what it takes for a career in the construction trades? Come prove it.
The Southern District Training Trust Fund is bringing its Interior Systems & Concrete Form Combine to Amarillo. This is a hands-on hiring event built around what you can do, not just what’s on your résumé.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22, 2026
First session: 6:45 a.m. | Last session: 11:30 a.m.
12180 Tascosa Rd., Amarillo, TX 79124
SHOW UP. SHOW YOUR SKILLS. GET HIRED.
You’ll get the chance to step in, work with your hands and show contractors your skills, work ethic and ability to learn.
No experience required.
Never worked in construction? Instructors will be on site to demonstrate the activities and help you through them. You don’t need years of experience to show that you can listen, learn and get the job done.
Already know your way around a jobsite? Even better. Show what you can do. Experienced candidates can demonstrate their skills directly to contractors and may qualify for a higher starting wage.
STARTING AT $18/HR
Starting pay is $18/hour, with experienced workers earning up to $31/hour.
And this isn’t a typical job fair where you hand over a résumé and hope someone calls.
You’ll participate in hands-on activities, meet contractors who are looking for workers and have the opportunity to interview on site and potentially get hired at the event.
GET PAID TO LEARN A SKILLED TRADE
If you’re hired, you’ll enter an apprenticeship that combines classroom instruction with paid, on-the-job training.
- Training at no cost to the apprentice
- Earn while you learn
- Health and welfare benefits
- Pension benefits
- Build skills that can increase your earning potential
- Train for a career in the construction trades
Interior Systems work includes metal stud framing and drywall installation, while Concrete Form work involves building the forms used to shape and support concrete.
You don’t have to know how to do it before you walk through the door. You just have to be ready to work and willing to learn.
READY TO SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO?
Each session lasts about one hour, plus check-in and potential employer interviews.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and should wear a long-sleeved shirt, pants and work boots.
