Teacher Externship – Employer Registration

Host an Educator in Summer 2026

Workforce Solutions Panhandle invites employers to participate in the 2026 Teacher Externship Program. Host educators from middle schools, high schools, Adult Education & Literacy programs, Institutions of Higher Learning, or school administrators (superintendents, principals, assistant principals) in the upper 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.

Program Structure for Employers

• Host educator(s) for a minimum of ten (10) days to a maximum of fifteen (15) total days (minimum 4 hours per day) within June/July 2026.
• Schedule flexibly to fit operations; educators maintain attendance logs.
• Sign educator time logs at completion.
• Complete Post-Externship Survey.
• Commit to one student engagement: field trip to your site or classroom visit by your staff/guest speaker (in-person or virtual).
