Supporting New Hires with Essential Work-Related Items

Workforce Solutions Panhandle and the Texas Workforce Commission have partnered to offer a grant program in the Texas Panhandle region. This program provides funding for work-related essentials required when starting a new job, such as tools, uniforms, safety gear, and more. It’s designed to remove financial barriers that could hinder job seekers from accepting job offers.
These funds cover necessary tools and equipment for jobs that require technical or on-the-job training beyond high school but not a bachelor’s degree. Examples include Correctional Officers, Electricians, medical positions, and HVAC Technicians. Entry-level positions like cashiers or waitstaff are not eligible.
As employers, you understand that certain items are essential for employees to perform effectively. However, these items can be costly, especially for individuals facing financial challenges. Workforce Solutions Panhandle is dedicated to helping Texas Panhandle residents access these resources to excel in their new roles.
This program aims to support job seekers facing financial constraints in obtaining work-related items. By leveraging the Texas Workforce Commission grant, Workforce Solutions Panhandle strives to create equal opportunities for employment.
